LaToya Renee London is a versatile American artist born on December 29, 1978, in San Francisco, California. She rose to fame as a fourth-place finalist on the third season of American Idol, releasing her debut album Love & Life in 2005, which spawned moderate R&B chart hits. On stage, she won an Ovation Award for originating and performing the role of Nettie in The Color Purple's national tour from 2007 to 2010.
