Robert Hughes is a former Australian-born British actor, best known for his roles in the 1977 musical film ABBA: The Movie and the popular TV sitcom Hey Dad..!. He began his career as a cadet journalist for The Sydney Morning Herald before pursuing a stint as bass player for the pop band Flying Circus. Hughes also had notable theatre and television appearances throughout his extensive acting career.
