Humphrey Lyttelton

Biography

Humphrey Lyttelton was a member of the aristocratic Lyttelton family and began teaching himself the trumpet at school. He became a professional musician, leading his own band and recording the hit single "Bad Penny Blues," as well as a broadcaster, hosting BBC Radio 2's "The Best of Jazz" for forty years. Lyttelton was also a panel game host on BBC Radio 4's "I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue."
