Charlie Hill

Biography

Charles Allan Hill was a comedian and actor of Oneida-Mohawk-Cree ancestry, born in Detroit, Michigan in 1951. He graduated from University of Wisconsin–Madison and pursued his dream as a stand-up comedian, making notable appearances on The Richard Pryor Show, The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, and Late Night with David Letterman. Hill starred in the 1984 film Harold of Orange and hosted a Showtime special featuring Native American comedians. He passed away in 2013 after a battle with cancer.
