Douglas Brinkley

Biography

Douglas Brinkley is an American author, professor of history at Rice University, and history commentator for CNN. A Presidential Historian for the New York Historical Society, he has also contributed to Vanity Fair magazine as a contributing editor. As a public spokesperson on conservation issues, Brinkley has joined the faculty of Rice University in 2007 and recently became a member of the National Archives Foundation's board of directors in 2023.
