Biography

Shigeru Izumiya is a Japanese poet, folk singer, and actor born on May 11, 1948, in Aomori, Japan. He co-founded the record company For Life Records with Takuro Yoshida, Yosui Inoue, and Hitoshi Komuro in 1975. Izumiya also directed the 1986 film Death Powder and hosted a weekly show on Satellaview from 1995 to 1996, alongside Ayumi Hamasaki. He is known for his roles in films like "Dog Star" (2002) and "Sound of the Tides" (1980).
