Floyd Patterson

Biography

Floyd Patterson, an American boxing legend, rose to prominence at 21, becoming the youngest heavyweight champion in history, a feat he repeated by regaining the title after a loss. A gold medalist in the middleweight division at the 1952 Summer Olympics, Patterson was also named Fighter of the Year twice, in 1956 and 1960. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1991. Patterson's achievements cemented his place among the all-time greats.
