Tessie O'Shea was a Welsh entertainer and actress born on March 13, 1913, who began performing at age six in the British music hall tradition. She gained popularity through BBC Radio broadcasts and later became a frequent headliner at the London Palladium in the 1940s, establishing herself as a recording artist in the 1950s. Her distinctive style included singing and playing banjolele in the style of George Formby.
