Biography

Eileen Erskine was a Nottingham-born English actress active in film from the 1940s. She appeared in notable roles in "This Happy Breed" (1944) and "Great Expectations" (1946), as well as in the original West End production of J.B. Priestley's "Time and the Conways". After a successful theatre career, Erskine continued to work on television and stage, with her autobiography "Scenes from a Life" published posthumously in 1995.
