Biography

Michael Gill was a renowned English television producer and director, best known for his work on iconic documentaries such as "Civilisation: A Personal View" (1969) and "Alistair Cooke's America" (1973). He joined the BBC in 1954 and went on to create over 150 films for television and cinema. Gill's experiences during World War II, including interrogating a German who survived a parachute failure, inspired his memoir "Growing into War".
