Gary Lewis is an American musician, born on July 31, 1945, to comedian Jerry Lewis and singer Patti Palmer. As the leader of Gary Lewis & the Playboys, he gained recognition for his role as Young Clayton in the 1958 film "Rock-a-Bye Baby." Lewis formed the band with four friends, initially calling themselves "Gary and the Playboys," and released music that was funded by his mother, who supported the group financially.
