Takeshi Watabe

Biography

Takeshi Watabe was a renowned Japanese voice actor and actor born in Kōchi Prefecture. He was best known for voicing the iconic character Kaminari in Doraemon, as well as taking over Shingo Kanemoto's roles after his death. Watabe also portrayed notable villains in anime and tokusatsu series, such as Inspector Takao Arizuka in You're Under Arrest and Colonel John Kowen in Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory. He passed away at 74 due to pneumonia complications.
