Evelyn Scott was an American film and television actress born on April 20, 1915, in Brockton, Massachusetts. She began her career as a disc jockey for KMPC before transitioning to radio and television acting in the 1940s and 1950s. Notable roles include Adelaide Mitchell on Bachelor Father from 1960-1962 and Ada Jacks on Peyton Place from 1965-1974 and its spin-off Return to Peyton Place, reprised in 1985.
