Angela Groothuizen is a Dutch singer and television personality, born in Alkmaar on September 28, 1959. She rose to fame as a member of the Dolly Dots, a pop girl group that scored hits between 1979 and 1988. After the group's split, Groothuizen teamed up with Ruud Mulder to record as Angela & the Rude, and also wrote songs for various artists, including Kinderen voor Kinderen.
