Sir Howard Stringer is a Welsh-American businessman and former CBS executive. He spent 30 years at CBS, rising to president of the network from 1986 to 1995. He later led Sony Corporation as chairman, CEO, and president from 2005 to 2012, before taking on non-executive director roles at the BBC and American Film Institute. Knighted in 1999 for his contributions.
