Mami Kumagai is a Japanese actress born on March 10, 1960, in Suginami, Tokyo. She made her screen debut in 1979 with Oretachi no Kōkyōgaku and won the Élan d'Or Award for Newcomers for her role in the NHK TV series Mā-nēchan. Kumagai received the Kinokuniya Theater Award and Yomiuri Theater Award in 2016 for her performance in Manzana, Waga Machi. She continues to work in theater and film, including a recent marriage to an 8-year age gap businessman.
