Biography

Saori Sugimoto was a Japanese voice actress and narrator born on November 17, 1964, in Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture. She gained recognition for voicing iconic characters such as Ramurin Makiba in Shima Shima Tora no Shimajirō, Kisanta Yamamura in Nintama Rantarō, and Catherine Bloom in Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: The Movie - Endless Waltz. Her final role was Shimajiro's voice actress in the 2022 film, released just before her passing on October 21, 2021, due to anorexia-induced heart failure.
