Cătălin Mitulescu is a Romanian film director born on January 13, 1972, in Bucharest. He graduated from the Caragiale National University of Theatre and Film in 2001. His critically acclaimed short film Trafic won the Short Film Palme d'Or at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival, while his debut feature The Way I Spent the End of the World premiered at the 2006 festival. His later films include Loverboy, screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival.
