Initially training to be an opera singer, she made her London stage debut in 1907 and went on to play memorable roles such as Mrs. Chard in "Thursday's Child" (1943) and Marthe in "It Happened in Paris" (1935). Her performances often portrayed domestic and maternal characters, showcasing her versatility as an actress. She passed away in London at the age of 65.
