Richard Barbieri

Biography

Richard Barbieri is a musician and sound designer born on November 30, 1957. He rose to prominence as a founding member of the new wave band Japan, which he later revived in its 1989-1991 incarnation as Rain Tree Crow. In 1993, he became the longest tenured keyboardist for progressive rock band Porcupine Tree, joining alongside founder Steven Wilson and contributing to their 2010 album "Anesthetize".
