Giancarlo Vigorelli

Biography

Giancarlo Vigorelli was an Italian literary critic, journalist, and writer. A prominent scholar of Manzoni's works, he developed extensive studies on the Lombard author's oeuvre. As a key figure in the Ermetismo movement, Vigorelli was dismissed from teaching due to his democratic views, which shared those of the era's poets. He went on to direct several publications and served as secretary general of the Community of European Writers.
