George H. Reed was a pioneering African-American actor in Hollywood's silent and sound eras. He made his mark with notable roles in "Huckleberry Finn" (1920) and the all-African American cast of "The Green Pastures" (1936), as well as appearances in MGM's Dr. Kildare series. Reed's career spanned multiple decades, leaving a lasting legacy in early cinema. He passed away in 1952 at 85.
