Biography

John Maloof is an American filmmaker and photographer who discovered a cache of Vivian Maier's street photographs while researching his book Portage Park in 2007. He became the main curator of Maier's work and released several books on her, including "Vivian Maier: A Photographer Found" and "Self-Portraits." Maloof was nominated for an Oscar and BAFTA for his documentary about Maier, "Finding Vivian Maier," in 2015.
