Biography

Dagmar Myhrvold was a Norwegian actress known for her nuanced portrayals of older women on stage, bringing weight and credibility to roles in Leo Tolstoy's The Power of Darkness and Selma Lagerlöf's The Emperor of Portugallia. Her performances also showcased her humor, as seen in her depiction of Oslo types in Oskar Braaten's Ungen and Den store barnedåpen. A dedicated teacher and stage director, Myhrvold led the Norwegian Theater's student school from 1947 to 1949.
