John Liu

Biography

Taiwanese actor and martial artist John Liu, known for his impressive kicking skills, began training in Japanese Karate and Chinese kung fu under his grandfather as a young boy. He later studied Taekwondo with instructor Tan Tao-liang at National Taiwan University, significantly improving his flexibility and kicking abilities. Liu's unique skillset led to notable roles in low-budget Taiwanese action/martial art movies, including "The Dragon, the Hero" (1979) and "Ninja in the Claws of the CIA" (1981).
