Biography

Stephan Thomas Pastis is an American cartoonist and former lawyer born on January 16, 1968. As the creator of Pearls Before Swine, he has also written children's books, including Timmy Failure series, which debuted at #4 on The New York Times Best Seller list for Children's Middle Grade Books. Raised in San Marino, California, Pastis developed his cartooning skills from a young age, influenced by his Greek immigrant parents.
