Pearry Reginald Teo Zhang Pingli, known as Pearry Teo, was a Singaporean filmmaker whose unique visual style garnered a loyal underground following. He made his mark in the film industry with quirky horror films, including "Liberata Me," which won the New York International Film Festival's best horror film award. His breakthrough came when he directed The Gene Generation, starring Bai Ling and Faye Dunaway.
