Alec Hurley

Biography

Alec Hurley was an English music hall singer and boxer, born in Hackney, London, to a Sea captain father. He began his career singing Irish songs before taking up boxing and performing "The Strongest Man on Earth" after fights. He later transitioned to music hall performance, supporting acts like Marie Lloyd, with whom he married in 1906, until their marriage broke up.
