Alois Dvorský was a Czech actor and comedian, born Alois Vaníček on October 24, 1883, in Hořice v Podkrkonoší. He began his film career at age 39 with the 1922 film, going on to appear in over 170 Czechoslovak films, often playing smaller roles. Notable appearances include roles in Otec a syn (1925), Revizor (1933), and Káťa a krokodýl (1958). He passed away on October 10, 1966, at age 82.
