Kaushik Ganguly was born on August 4, 1968, in Calcutta, West Bengal, India. A prolific film director, screenwriter, and actor, he has received numerous awards for his work, including six National Film Awards and four Filmfare Awards Bangla. His notable films explore themes of sexuality, such as Nagarkirtan (2017) and Arekti Premer Golpo (2010), earning critical acclaim and recognition in Bengali cinema.
