Olga Scheinpflugová

Biography

Olga Scheinpflugová was a Czech actress and writer who began her acting career as a student of dramatic art. She became a member of the City Theatre in Prague-Královské Vinohrady at 18 and later joined the National Theatre, where she spent most of her career with notable collaborations. Her personal life was marked by her marriage to writer Karel Čapek in 1935, which ended with Čapek's untimely death in 1938.
