Biography
Jards Macalé was a Brazilian composer, singer, and actor who played a pivotal role in Brazil's tropicália movement of the 1960s. Born on March 3, 1943, in Rio de Janeiro, Macalé began his musical journey surrounded by music at home and in the neighborhood, where family members sang and played instruments. He went on to participate in notable film soundtracks, including "The Amulet of Ogum" and "Tent of Miracles."
