Paul Leyssac

Biography

Paul Leyssac was a Danish writer and actor who brought historical figures to life on screen, including Abraham Lincoln in the 1937 British film Victoria the Great. He also translated the works of beloved author Hans Christian Andersen. A stage veteran, Leyssac began his Broadway career with George Washington in 1920 and continued with notable productions until The Tempest in 1945. His extensive work includes films like Head Over Heels and Arise, My Love.
