Shahrbanoo Sadat
Biography
Shahrbanoo Sadat is a critically acclaimed Afghan filmmaker born in Tehran, Iran, who grew up in a remote community in central Afghanistan. She began her career making documentary films before transitioning to feature filmmaking with the award-winning Wolf and Sheep (2016), which won top prize at Cannes' Directors' Fortnight. Her subsequent films, including The Orphanage (2019) and No Good Men (2026), solidify her reputation as a talented storyteller.
