Supriya Choudhury was a renowned Indian actress known for her work in Bengali cinema spanning over 50 years. She portrayed Neeta in Ritwik Ghatak's 1960 film Megha Dhaka Tara and received the Filmfare Award and BFJA Award twice. In recognition of her contributions, she was awarded the Banga-Vibhushan in 2011 and the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2014.
