Merrell Jackson

Biography

Merrell Jackson was an American actor who began his career as a soloist in the a cappella chorus at Chicago's Calumet High School, where he also earned leading roles in stage productions and won awards for his performances. He received a scholarship to attend the National Youth Chorus Workshop and appeared in the WMAQ-TV musical special The New Performers: Chicagoland '71. Jackson later joined the Goodman Theatre's touring company, marking an early step in his career.
