Biography

Mahmoud Shalaby, born July 19, 1982, in Acre, Israel, is a Palestinian actor and rapper who rose to prominence for his role as Naïm in the 2011 film A Bottle in the Gaza Sea. He received the award for best male actor at the Film Festival of La Réunion for this performance, which also earned him two other honors. Shalaby's early life was marked by urban violence and a passion for music, leading to his involvement with the Palestinian hip-hop group MWR.
