Fumi Hirano is a Japanese actress and voice actress born on April 23, 1955 in Nishi-Ogikubo, Suginami, Tokyo. She began her career in ballet and musicals before studying acting at a children's theater company. Hirano gained international recognition for voicing the main female protagonist Lum in the 1981 television anime series Urusei Yatsura, a role that has made her a beloved figure worldwide.
