Justin Kauflin is a renowned American jazz pianist and composer born on March 10, 1986, in Silver Spring, Maryland. After losing his eyesight at age eleven, he adapted by learning Braille and cane mobility, eventually becoming a skilled jazz piano performer. A graduate of William Paterson University with a Presidential scholarship, Kauflin has received top honors in numerous U.S. jazz festivals and performed professionally since the age of fifteen.
