Sanaa Gamil was a prominent Egyptian actress, born in Minya Governorate to a Coptic Orthodox family, and moved to Cairo to pursue her acting career. She won the best supporting actress award at the Moscow Film Festival for her role in "Bidaya wa nihaya" (1960), starring alongside Omar Sharif. A highly acclaimed stage actress, she performed with La Comédie Française and was known for her exceptional talent and individual style.
