G. Gnanasambandam

Biography

Gnanasambandan Gurunathan, born on October 19, 1955, is a renowned Indian professor, scholar, orator, and actor known for his association with Kamal Haasan. As a Professor of Tamil language at Thiagarajar College in Madurai, he has also frequently chaired Tamil debate shows (Pattimandrams). He received the prestigious Mahakavi Bharathiar Award from the Tamil Nadu State Government in 2014.
