Biography

Wilson Wood was a character actor born Charles Woodrow Tolkien on February 11, 1915, in Huron, North Dakota. He debuted in 1946's Two Sisters from Boston and went on to appear in over 100 films throughout his 17-year career, including the Republic Pictures serial Zombies of the Stratosphere (1952) and the feature film Satan's Satellites (1958). His final appearance was in Jumbo (1962), starring Doris Day. Wood passed away in Culver City, California, on October 23, 2004.
