Biography

Grant Major is a production designer from New Zealand, best known for his work on The Lord of the Rings films. He won the Academy Award for Best Art Direction for The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King and was appointed a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2004 for services to film. Prior to this, he worked as an assistant set designer at a local television station after joining art school in Auckland following his graduation.
