Daniel Platzman was born on September 28, 1986, in Atlanta, Georgia, and attended Berklee College of Music, where he earned a degree in film scoring. He later joined Imagine Dragons as drummer, completing the lineup with fellow musicians Wayne Sermon and Ben McKee.
