Orhan Elmas was a Turkish director and writer born in Istanbul on January 20, 1927, who made his film debut with "Toros Çocuğu" in 1945 and went on to direct over 100 films. He won several awards for his work, including the Onur award at the 31st Golden Orange Film Festival. Elmas was married to actress Alev Koral and had a son together.
