Philip Arp

Biography

Philip Arp was a German actor and Kabarettist born in Munich on February 27, 1929. He found inspiration after salvaging a charred crucifix from the rubble of his church during wartime and later became an accomplished singer, instrumentalist, and actor, performing at the Komische Oper München and as a puppeteer. In 1959, he married Anette Spola, with whom he co-founded the "Theater am Sozialamt" in 1970.
