Cocco

Biography

Cocco is a Japanese pop/folk rock singer who pursued a career in ballet before being discovered by Victor Entertainment after impressing judges at singing auditions. She made her debut on an indie label under the name "Cocko" with a self-titled EP in 1996, later changing her name to Cocco and scoring a major hit with Tsuyoku Hakanaimonotachi in 1998. This song's success led to three more albums: Kumuiuta, Rapunzel, and Sangurōzu.
