Biography

Turan Mehrzad was a prominent Iranian actor and performer who began his career in theater at age 14 under Abdulhossein Nooshin. He made his film debut in 1947 with the film "Tangeh-e Azadeh" and soon transitioned to television, becoming one of Iran's first female radio announcers. Mehrzad's notable work includes her role as Leila's Mother in the 1997 film "Leila." She was honored posthumously for eight decades of artistic contributions in 2022.
