Biography

Elena Stejko is a Ukrainian-born New Zealand actress and theatre director, known for her breakthrough role as Pauline in Taika Waititi's film What We Do in the Shadows (2014). A seasoned stage performer, she has also acted in and directed productions in Auckland. Prior to her screen success, Stejko established herself with small roles in television dramas like Mercy Peak and a nomination for a Qantas Film and Television Award for her 2010 film Russian Snark.
