Jack W. Johnston

Biography

J.W. Johnston was born on October 2, 1876, in Kilkee, County Clare, Ireland, to Charles and Jane Mary Hartney. He arrived in the United States with his family at five years old, settling in New York by 1882. An early member of Cecil B. DeMille's repertory company, Johnston appeared in several films between 1914 and 1922, including "The Valley of Silent Men".
